The Egyptian Chess Federation needed a tournament identity for their National Junior Championship that would elevate the event from a local competition to a prestigious national event deserving of sponsorship and media coverage.
Chess is often branded with clichéd imagery. Our challenge was to create something that felt dynamic, youthful, and competitive — worthy of the next generation of Egyptian grandmasters.
We developed a tournament identity centered around bold geometric chess piece silhouettes rendered in a dynamic, modern style — using sharp angles and high-contrast color blocking.
The visual system covered all tournament collateral: banners, participant badges, social media announcements, and venue signage — all unified under a cohesive system that could scale for future editions.
